Uber Users Can Now Earn Delta SkyMiles on Rides and Deliveries

In a move that further links ride-hailing with air travel, Delta Air Lines and Uber have launched a new partnership allowing U.S.-based Delta SkyMiles members to earn frequent flyer miles when using Uber or Uber Eats. The collaboration strengthens Uber’s positioning within the lucrative airport segment, while offering Delta loyalists a fresh way to maximize their rewards.
Starting this week, SkyMiles members can link their Delta and Uber accounts and begin earning miles across a variety of Uber services:
- Uber Eats: Earn 1 mile per $1 spent on delivery orders over $40.
- Airport Rides (UberX): Earn 1 mile per $1 on rides to and from the airport.
- Premium Rides (Uber Comfort or Black): Get 2 miles per $1 spent.
- Uber Reserve: Score 3 miles per $1 on pre-booked rides.
It’s worth noting that while you can’t double dip by reserving an airport ride, Uber will automatically apply the reward tier that earns you the most miles.
This strategic tie-up arrives during a time of economic uncertainty, with travelers becoming increasingly price-conscious. For Uber, the partnership strengthens its airport play—especially as it expands its new affordable Airport Shuttle product to Atlanta after piloting it in New York City.
The integration also extends beyond rewards. Customers booking flights in the Fly Delta app can now add an Uber Reserve ride to their itinerary, ensuring seamless ground transportation. Later this year, in-flight WiFi users will also receive 30% off an Uber ride upon landing, adding even more convenience for SkyMiles members.
With this partnership, both companies are doubling down on loyalty, ease, and value—key drivers in today’s travel environment.
